UK couple sentenced to jail after trying to smuggle Nigerian baby into the UK

An academic and his wife have both been sentenced for trying to smuggle a baby into the country, it was revealed today.

Dr Simon Heap and his wife Gladys Effa-Heap, a nurse, flew out to Nigeria and tried to dupe officials into believing a baby girl they wanted to bring back to the UK was theirs.
However, the Oxford pair were actually trying to illegally adopt the baby.

A court in Warri has sentenced a young man to death by hanging for stealing N955k. Below is how Sunnewsonline.com is reporting it...

A 22-year-old man, Julius Aboy was yesterday sentenced to death for stealing N955, 600 by a Delta State High Court sitting in Warri. The trial judge, Justice Marshal Mukoro of High Court 1, who handed down the sentence told the convict that he is to die by hanging.

The convict was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery, offences punishable under Sections 6(b) and 1(2)(a) respectively of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act Cap. RII Volume 14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

3 Men Deported For Being "Too Handsome" For Women

Three men were forcibly removed from an annual culture festival in Saudi Arabia and subsequently sent back to the UAE after it was deemed that women could find them irresistible.

The delegates from the UAE were in attendance at the Jenadrivah Heritage & Culture Festival in Riyadh, the Saudi capital when religious police officers stormed the stand and evicted the men because "they are too handsome," according to the Arabic language newspaper, Elaph.
